OUR GEAR PHILOSOPHY

Vanguard Audio Labs was created with one goal – to give you great tools so you can make great music.

ORIGINALITY

We aren't here to strut a ludicrous claim to be the "'47-est U47 clone to ever '47, but for $50 less than the last guy". We want to build better mousetraps or brand-new ones and move music creation forward instead of looking backward. That's why we've introduced concepts like cryogenic treatment of our components, variable tube voltage, and the best shockmounts in the known universe to our products.

QUALITY

We want your treasured gear to last a lifetime. Vanguard builds out our gear in small batches in sunny Southern California. Every individual microphone goes through a battery of testing after assembly and comes with a 5-year warranty.

MUSICALITY

There are important objective tests, but ultimately, we like the way things SOUND. With endless iterative testing of every component & an obsessive pursuit of tone, we've created microphones that Grammy-winning engineers call "mix-ready".

We’re lucky to be doing what we love – designing and building great, original recording gear. Every one of us is an engineer, musician, producer, and lover of all things audio. Early in our careers, each of us was frustrated by the desire to own better recording tools, but the really great stuff was overwhelmingly expensive. We started Vanguard Audio Labs to help you make music, and to bring your music to life by building superb products that won’t break your bank account.
