The Vanguard V4 was born out of numerous requests we had for a “mono” version of our renowned V44S dual capsule stereo mic. Users told us that they loved the clean and full character of the V44S, but wanted a single capsule version for vocals and other applications. A superlative vocal mic, showing up European FET LDCs costing 2 and 3x more, the V4 gen2 has become a favorite amongst brass and woodwind players due to its beautiful handling of high SPL sources, like trumpets, yet still nuanced and delicate enough for flutes. With it's high SPL handling capability, it's also a gorgeous solution for guitar amps, and kick drum!
Base 4 Stands - The Mic Stand Reinvented.
The Solo, BASE 4's flagship mic stand, is designed to cover a wide range of applications. Not just another mic stand, the positive locking arm connectors won’t slip over time and don’t require brute force to tighten them. Like all BASE 4's unique stands, the Solo is hard to tip over and its rubber feet are non-slip. It’s tough as nails, versatile and dependable.
BASE 4's modular approach means that one stand can accommodate multiple mics via the use of Add-on arms and their Stub Mount mic mounts. This approach reduces the number of individual stands required and makes a much smaller footprint, especially welcome around tight areas, like drum kits and acoustic ensembles.
